Northumbria University Undergraduate Award 2026

Successful students will receive a total of £4,000, paid in instalments* throughout years one, two and three. This additional support will help students focus on their studies and assist with budgeting. All eligible self-funded students will be short listed and considered.

Eligibility Criteria for Northumbria University Undergraduate Award 2026

Students who meet at least one of the three following characteristics will be considered;

1. You live in a neighbourhood with a low progression rate to Higher Education. Please use your main home address and not your term time address and use the Postcode Checker to check your neighbourhood progression rate**
2. You are from a Black, Asian or Minority Ethnic?(BAME) background
3. You have declared a physical and/or mental health condition, long-term illness, or learning difference on your UCAS form***

Submit an application no longer than 3000 characters (500 words) answering the question:

1. How will this Award support your aspirations to succeed in Higher Education?
2. If you would like to submit your application via video you are able to do so via the 'file' function on the application form
