The Leaders Asia-Pacific Virtual Leadership Development Program identifies and supports emerging leaders committed to values-based leadership and inclusive, lasting change. This hybrid program equips participants to drive meaningful impact in their local communities and across the Asia-Pacific region. It integrates weekly virtual learning, mentorship, and peer collaboration to foster leadership growth, collaborative problem-solving, and community transformation.

Eligibility Criteria for Obama Foundation Leaders Asia-Pacific Program 2026–2027

Eligible applicants must meet the following criteria:

Age: 24–45 years old as of September 1, 2026

Experience: Minimum three years of relevant leadership experience

Residency/Citizenship: Must reside in an eligible Asia-Pacific country or territory, including Indonesia, and meet one of the following: citizen, permanent resident, refugee, asylum seeker, or have lived in the region for at least five years

Language: Professionally proficient in English

Restrictions: Cannot participate as electoral candidates during the program

• Must be able to engage in U.S.-based programming without legal or regulatory restrictions

• Work must demonstrate positive community or regional impact
