2025 FCM Foundation Board Scholarship

FCM Foundation Board Scholarship (FCM FBS) is a yearly scholarship programme aimed at providing one-time academic support to female Muslim students in 200 and 300 levels in selected public universities in Nigeria.

Eligibility Criteria for 2025 FCM Foundation Board Scholarship

1. Be a female Muslim undergraduate student
2. Be currently in 200- or 300 level at one of the eligible universities.
3. Have a minimum CGPA of 4.0 out of 5.0 (or equivalence)
4. Be willing to attend the one-day in-person mentorship session in Lagos, Nigeria.

Application Documents

The following documents are to be provided and uploaded during the application:

1. Student Identity Card (of institution)
2. Reference letter from a reputable Islamic Organization (Institution-based Students Organizations are not acceptable)
3. Letter must be on letterheaded paper and be addressed to The Executive Director, First Class Muslim Foundation, Lagos, Nigeria.
4. Letters should genuinely speak to the character of the applicants and should not be generic.
5. Improperly addressed letters or generic letters will lead to disqualification.
6. Current result slip showing student CGPA with the signature and stamp of the HOD
7. A Personal Statement to convince panelists as to why they should consider you for the scholarship.
8. Word limit for Personal Statement is 300.
9. Font type is Century Gothic and the font size is 12.
10. Spacing should be 1.5.
11. Full name should be written at the top of the document.
12. Personal statement must be uploaded as pdf file.
13. The unethical use of AI tools to generate or significantly adjust/review personal statements is prohibited. All personal statements submitted will be tested and evaluated for plagiarism or AI-derivation. AI detection beyond 20% is not acceptable. Applicants who disregard this will be disqualified from current and any future opportunities from the foundation.
