Eligibility Criteria for AAAS L’Oréal USA For Women in Science Award 2026

1. Must hold a PhD and be in a postdoctoral research position by January 31, 2026.
2. Must remain a postdoctoral researcher throughout the fellowship year (cannot be in a faculty position).
3. Must be a U.S. citizen, naturalized citizen, or permanent resident.
4. Must be affiliated with a U.S.-based academic or research institution.
5. Research must be in basic sciences: life sciences, physical/material sciences, engineering & technology, computer science, or mathematics.
6. Must commit to 20+ hours of outreach supporting women and girls in science (e.g., mentoring, classroom visits, events).
7. Must be available during the awards week in November 2026.
