Cambridge Marshall PhD Scholarship for US Marshall Scholars 2026

The Cambridge Marshall PhD Scholarship is available to PhD applicants from the USA who are recipients of a two-year Marshall Scholarship. The scholarship funds the third year of a three-year PhD course in any subject excluding premium rate courses and is tenable at any College of the University of Cambridge.

Eligibility Criteria for Cambridge Marshall PhD Scholarship for US Marshall Scholars 2026

  1. Applicants should be US citizens who are recipients of a two-year Marshall Scholarship which they intend to apply to fund a PhD course at the University of Cambridge
  2. This scholarship is not available for the Doctor of Business course

Benefits of Cambridge Marshall PhD Scholarship for US Marshall Scholars 2026

  1. University tuition fee (international rate)
  2. Annual maintenance (sufficient for a single person)
  3. Student visa
  4. Student Immigration Health Surcharge
  5. An economy airfare to the UK, and an economy airfare from the UK to the student’s country of residence, by the lowest cost available route
  6. Additional Allowances:
  7. transport allowance
  8. academic allowance
  9. leadership allowance
  10. other benefits up to £3,000 in excess of the maintenance

How to Apply

To ensure that they are considered for this scholarship, applicants must follow both of the following steps:

  1. be a recipient of a two-year Marshall Scholarship, for which a separate application is required; AND
  2. apply for admission to the University of Cambridge by the funding deadline specific to their course (please refer to the Postgraduate Course Directory), and have a conditional offer of admission
