GREAT Scholarships 2026 for Ghanaian Students

This scholarship gives you £10,000 off your tuition fees. International students in Ghana applying for any 1 year in person MSc at the University of Southampton can apply for this scholarship. It is offered in partnership with the British Council and the GREAT Britain Campaign.

Eligibility Criteria for GREAT Scholarships 2026 for Ghanaian Students

To get this scholarship, you must:

  1. have an offer to study an eligible postgraduate course
  2. have a Ghanaian passport
  3. be a permanent resident of Ghana
  4. have met the University's English language requirements by the scholarship deadline
  5. meet your programme requirements by 30 June
  6. be willing to act as an ambassador for UK Higher Education, by promoting the value of studying at a UK University and a scholarship advocate
  7. be willing to demonstrate future contribution to capacity-building and socio-economic advancement through the benefits achieved after graduation

We determine residency as where you have been living for a 3-year period or longer before the start of the course.

This does not include where you are living for study purposes if it is somewhere different from your place of permanent residency.
