KAIST University Undergraduate Scholarship 2026

A Great scholarship to begin your career in South Korea. Applications are now open for the KAIST University Undergraduate Scholarship 2026 for the Fall intake. To support international students, KAIST is offering a “KAIST Full Scholarship” which covers Full Tuition Fees, Living Expenses, and Health Insurance. The KAIST Scholarship is open to all international applicants from all around the world. International students who are currently enrolled at another university can also apply. International students do NOT require any TOPIK (Test of Proficiency in Korean) certificates at the time of application. The Academic Period will begin from Sept/Oct 2026. Applicants who will graduate by August 2026 can also apply for the KAIST Regular Track. More details are below.

Eligibility Criteria for KAIST University Undergraduate Scholarship 2026

  1. An applicant must be an international student.
  2. The university offers KAIST Scholarships to admitted students. Therefore, you must apply for admission, and you will automatically receive the KAIST Scholarship. No separate application is required.
  3. Students must maintain a GPA of 2.7 out of 4.3 at KAIST after their freshman year.

    English Test Proficiency Requirements

    Submission of English Proficiency Test (EPT) results, such as TOEFL, IELTS, etc, and Standardized test results are recommended, but not mandatory. Those who do not have the test result can still apply. There will not be any disadvantages.

    Eligibility Criteria

    1. Applicants with foreign citizenship.
    2. Neither of the applicant’s parents is a Korean citizen; or
    3. Applicants of Korean origin must have received their entire elementary, junior high, and high school education outside of Korea.
    4. Applicants who hold Korean Citizenship (including dual citizenship) are NOT eligible to apply as international students.
    5. Pay the application fee.

Benefits of KAIST University Undergraduate Scholarship 2026

All students will receive a full KAIST Scholarship. The KAIST scholarship for international undergraduate students includes:

  1. Full tuition Fee: Tuition exemption for 8 semesters, covering the entirety of the 4-year program.
  2. Living Expenses: 350,000 KRW per month
  3. National Health Insurance.

  3. Review your application to ensure that all the information is accurate and complete
  4. Pay the application fee (80 USD or 80,000 KRW) by credit card or bank transfer.
  5. There is no separate scholarship application. Upon being selected for admission, you will automatically be entitled to the KAIST Scholarship.
