The Biomedicine Merit Scholarship is a one-off award provided by the School of Biomedical Sciences at the University of Melbourne. It supports talented international students who are beginning their Bachelor of Biomedicine and have faced disadvantaged or compassionate circumstances that affected their academic journey.
Eligibility Criteria for $5,000 Biomedicine Merit Scholarship 2025 at University of Melbourne for International Students
International students who
- Are not citizens of Australia or New Zealand
- Are not permanent residents of Australia
- Have applied for and meet the admission requirements for the Bachelor of Biomedicine
- Are commencing mid-year 2025
- Can demonstrate academic merit and compassionate or compelling personal circumstances
Selection is based on:
- Entry score
- Personal statement describing compassionate/compelling circumstances
- Consideration of any previously received awards

- Up to AUD $5,000
- Paid once in September for mid-year entrants
