Your GPA:
What is GPA?
GPA (Grade Point Average)is similar to an average of your grades. Educational institutions utilize it to assess your performance. In the United States, it typically ranges from 0 to 4.0. Schools convert your letter grades (such as A, B, or C) into numerical values and then calculate the average of those numbers according to the credit value of each course to determine your GPA. Your GPA is significant because colleges and scholarship organizations consider it when deciding whether to admit you or provide financial aid. Some employers may also take an interest in it. In essence, it's a method for quantifying your academic performance. They assign a numerical value to each letter grade, and your GPA represents the average of these values over a defined period.
How Does the GPA Calculator Work?
A GPA calculator turns your grades into numbers. It figures out your quality points by multiplying each grade's
number by how many credits the class was worth. Then, it adds up all those quality points and divides by the total credit hours. Most schools use a 4.0 scale:
A is 4 points, B is 3, C is 2, D is 1, and F is zero. But some places change the scale for harder classes or have totally different scales.
Here are the steps to calculate your GPA:

5. Add up all the credit hours from all your classes.
