Ahmet Ertegun Memorial Scholarship 2026

The University of Oxford is offering an exciting funding opportunity for Turkish undergraduate students.

The Ahmet Ertegun Memorial Scholarship was established by the Ahmet Ertegun Education Fund in memory of Ahmet Ertegun, co-founder of Atlantic Records, to provide funding for Turkish undergraduate students at the University of Oxford. The funding was raised via a Led Zeppelin reunion concert in memory of Mr Ertegun.

Eligibility Criteria for Ahmet Ertegun Memorial Scholarship 2026

Applicants must:

1. Be Turkish nationals, ordinarily resident outside the European Economic Area (EEA)
2. Have Overseas fee status
3. Apply for an undergraduate course at Oxford via UCAS by 15 October 2025
4. Be admitted for 2026 entry
5. Be new students (Year 1 entry only)
6. Apply online for the scholarship by 12 noon (UK time) on 4 February 2026
7. Demonstrate both financial need and academic merit
8. Intend to return to Turkey (or country of residence) after graduation

How to Apply

1. You must make an application to the University of Oxford for an undergraduate course through UCAS by 15 October 2025, and be successful in gaining a place.
2. If you are offered a place at the University of Oxford for an undergraduate course for 2026 entry, you should read the guidance notes, review the application questions and complete the Undergraduate scholarships application online form by 12 noon (UK time) on 4 February 2026. Applications for these scholarships will open on 14 January 2026.
3. For 2026 entry applicants who apply by the 4 February 2026 scholarship deadline, the selection process will be undertaken in March 2026.
4. Applicants will be informed of the outcome of their application by the end of May 2026.
