The Jiangsu Jasmine Government Scholarship was established by the Jiangsu Provincial Government to promote the development of international education in Jiangsu. The scholarship aims to enhance the global reputation of Jiangsu education, strengthen the “Study in Jiangsu” brand, and position Jiangsu as a preferred destination for international students. It supports excellent overseas students or scholars pursuing full-time studies at universities and colleges in Jiangsu, including non-degree and exchange students under educational exchange agreements and MOUs between Jiangsu and other governments, institutions, universities, or international organizations.

The eligibility criteria include

1. Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens in good health.
2. Educational background and age limits
3. College/Undergraduate: Senior high school diploma, under 30 years old
4. Master’s: Bachelor’s degree, under 35 years old
5. Doctoral: Master’s degree, under 40 years old
6. Must obey the laws of the PRC and meet the admission requirements of the host institution.
7. Must have a good academic record.
8. Must not be receiving other scholarships from the Chinese government or organizations.

Selection Process

Applicants are selected based on academic excellence, health status, legal compliance, and fulfillment of admission and scholarship criteria. Detailed procedures may vary by host institution.

1. Scanned copy of passport photo page
2. Highest diploma/degree certificate (notarized; Certificate of Enrollment if still studying)
3. Academic transcripts (notarized)
4. Two recommendation letters (for postgraduate applicants only)
5. Other relevant documents
6. Note: Documents not in Chinese or English must have notarized translations. Submitted materials will not be returned.

The scholarship benefits is as follows:

Full Scholarship Includes:

1. Tuition, registration, lab, internship, and basic textbook fee waivers
2. Free on-campus dormitory or CNY 10,000 annual accommodation allowance
3. CNY 1,500 monthly living allowance
4. Comprehensive medical insurance

Partial Scholarship Includes:

1. College student: CNY 20,000/year
2. Undergraduate/Postgraduate: CNY 30,000/year
3. Non-degree/Exchange student: CNY 2,000/month (3–12 months duration)
