Bayes Black British Undergraduate Scholarship 2026–2027

As a global institution, Bayes Business School aims to foster greater racial diversity in business. It is offering up to ten scholarships each year for Black UK-domiciled undergraduate students from lower-income households. Each scholarship covers the full tuition fee (at the home-fee level) and a £6,000 annual stipend for three years. Scholarship holders will also be offered mentoring and support.

Eligibility Criteria for Bayes Black British Undergraduate Scholarship 2026–2027

To be eligible for this scholarship, the applicant must:

  1. Be a UK student with assessed fee status equal to ‘home’.
  2. Be of Black ethnicity:
  3. a) Black African
  4. b) Black Caribbean
  5. c) Black Other
  6. d) Mixed—White and Black Caribbean
  7. e) Mixed—White and Black African
  8. f) Other mixed background (to include Black African, Black Caribbean or Black Other)
  9. Be from a lower-income household [1]
  10. Satisfy Bayes Business School’s offer condition for the chosen course

Household income will be assessed on the application form, and documentation will be required.

Benefits of Bayes Black British Undergraduate Scholarship 2026–2027

  1. Full tuition fee coverage (at home-fee level) and a £6,000 annual stipend
  2. Scholars applying to the Student Ambassador programme will be automatically shortlisted and invited to an interview. These are paid roles and an opportunity to earn money whilst supporting the University.
  3. Tailored careers support throughout your studies. The Careers Service also offers dedicated careers guidance appointments for Bayes students at Bunhill Row. Disabled and neurodiverse students, care leavers, young carers, estranged students, refugees, asylum seekers and LGBTQ+ students can access dedicated support through the Careers Ahead programme. Furthermore, we are proud to be able to offer lifetime career support to all City St. George's graduates.
  4. Regular networking opportunities with a community of your fellow scholars (current and alumni).
  5. One-to-one mentoring support, initially as part of our Schools Engagement Programme and then with a dedicated mentor.

How to Apply

Applicants must apply to City St. George's, University of London, via UCAS by 14th January 2026, and submit their application for the scholarship no later than Wednesday, 1st April 2026.

Before applying, please ensure that you satisfy all eligibility criteria and have the following information:

  1. Name and date of birth
  2. UCAS ID number (ten-digit number)
  3. Ethnicity
  4. Details and proof of household income
  5. A form of ID
  6. A personal statement of a maximum of 500-1000 words, which explains how you will benefit from the scholarship programme. This statement is different from the one submitted to UCAS, as it should include your strengths and plans for the future and also highlight how this scholarship can support these plans.

Applications will be assessed based on the above criteria. Information provided in the application form below and via UCAS will be considered.

In April of 2026 a pool of selected applicants will be invited for a visit to Bayes Business School, when there will be an opportunity to learn more about the Scholarship Programme, and attend a brief interview with the selection panel. Following this visit, references may be requested.

Notification of the outcome of the selection process will be made by 10th April 2026 with interviews due to take place on 20th and 21st April 2026.

If you receive and accept an offer of a scholarship, you must make City St George’s, University of London, your Firm choice, either as Conditional Firm (CF) or Unconditional Firm (UF), in line with the UCAS response deadline.
