BPP University is dedicated to supporting bright future talent from all backgrounds and committed to widening participation in law and other professions. Therefore, a significant portion of BPP University's scholarship funds is awarded to students from traditionally underrepresented backgrounds.

BPP University's range of scholarships includes full-fee, half-fee, and £3,000 awards to help make career ambitions a reality. To simplify the process, BPP University operates a single 'one application' process for its scholarships.

Eligibility Criteria for BPP University Law School Scholarship 2025

To apply, you must meet all the minimum criteria set out in the terms and conditions, including

1. You must have submitted an application to study at BPP University
2. You must apply for a scholarship by the relevant deadline
3. You must have achieved a minimum of a 2:1 undergraduate degree or equivalent (or 2:2 with evidence of mitigating circumstances, reviewed on a case-by-case basis)
4. You must not hold full fee sponsorship from elsewhere (e.g. an employer or one of the Inns of Court)
5. Scholarships are only available to new students enrolling onto a course and are not applicable for those who are already studying
6. A student may not hold more than one scholarship. If awarded more than one, the higher value scholarship will prevail. However, eligible students can still be considered for a higher value scholarship if they do not have full fees covered by other scholarships or bursaries
7. Recipients of master’s funding (e.g. from Student Finance England) are eligible to apply for a scholarship
8. Strong academics
9. Resilience: have you overcome significant challenges? Resilience is a valuable asset for a practising lawyer. We welcome candidates from under-represented backgrounds, first-generation students, and those who have experienced significant hardship.
10. Volunteering and/or pro bono experience: we value students who contribute to their local communities, whether through legal advice or other assistance.
11. Dedication to career progression: this includes extra-curricular activities and work experience, both in law and other fields.
12. Leadership, entrepreneurial, innovation, or other transferable skills: this is particularly relevant for career changers who study successfully at BPP.

The strongest applicants who apply by the full fee and half fee scholarship deadline will be required to complete a project to compete for these scholarships.
