Eligibility Criteria for British Council Scholarship 2025 for Future Language Teachers in England (£28,000) || Round 2– Apply!

To be eligible, applicants must:

1. Hold a 2:1 Bachelor of Honours degree (or predicted 2:1), or a relevant Master’s or PhD, or an international equivalent.
2. Have a degree in French, German or Spanish, or another subject (including 2:2 degrees) with significant experience or knowledge of the target language.
3. Demonstrate language proficiency sufficient for teaching to A Level standard.
4. Secure a place on an eligible non-salaried teacher training scheme in England by September 2025.
5. International applicants must provide a Statement of Compatibility (ENIC) for overseas qualifications.

The selection process includes three stages:

1. Eligibility checks
2. Assessment of the application
3. Virtual interview on Microsoft Teams, including a presentation (partly in English and partly in the target language).

Applicants should demonstrate:
