David Shepherd Upper-Year Scholarship in Mathematics 2025

Three scholarships, valued at $5,500 each, will be awarded annually to full-time undergraduate students enrolled in Year Two, Three, and/or Four in the Faculty of Mathematics. Selection will be made on the basis of academic achievement and demonstrated extracurricular participation in volunteer activities, mentorship, sports, and/or public service. Interested students should submit an application by November 1. This fund is made possible by a donation from Krysia Piorczynski in memory of her husband, David Shepherd, BMath ’75.

1. enrolled in Year Two, Three, or Four of any program in the Faculty of Math
2. academic performance (minimum 80% cumulative average)
3. extracurricular participation in volunteer activities, mentorship, sports, and/or public service

1. Complete the applicable term Undergraduate Award Application
2. At this time we are only accepting applications for awards with a Fall deadline (September - December).
3. Access the Fall Term Undergraduate Award Application on our Undergraduate Studies Form page.
4. The application for awards with deadlines in a future term will be available by the start of that term—please check back later.
5. Complete a separate application for each award you wish to be considered for.
6. A resume is also required.
