Eligibility Criteria for Deakin University Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship Program 2025

Applicants must:

  1. Be prospective international students
  2. Be eligible to study at Deakin University
  3. Have not accepted any other Deakin scholarship or bursary
  4. Meet the academic criteria: - Deakin Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship: An 85% average (or equivalent) in previous studies - Deakin International Scholarship: A 65% average (or equivalent) in previous studies

Application Documents

You are required to submit:

  1. a personal statement (300 words)
  2. two references who can comment on your community engagement and/or leadership capacity
  3. a completed application to study at Deakin, including academic transcripts.
  4. Your personal statement must be written by you and reflect your personal views. It should contain
  5. an outline of why you want to study at Deakin University
  6. an overview of any extracurricular activities and work experience (paid or voluntary) you have undertaken
  7. why you think you would make an outstanding ambassador for Deakin University
  8. any other information that will assist your application.


Benefits of Deakin University Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship Program 2025

Successful applicants will receive:

  1. A full 100% tuition scholarship or a 50% partial tuition scholarship;
  2. Acceptance into Deakin’s signature student leadership program: the Vice-Chancellor’s Professional Excellence Program (VCPEP).
  3. Priority place for on-campus accommodation (at own cost and subject to availability).
