The Danish Diabetes and Endocrine Academy (DDEA) offers up to three 2/3-financed Industrial PhD Scholarships, each valued at DKK 1,100,000 (~€147,000 / ~$159,000). These scholarships support collaborative research projects in diabetes, metabolism, or endocrinology, linking academic research with life-science industry innovation in Denmark.

Eligibility Criteria for Denmark DDEA PhD Scholarships 2025 (Covering salary and tuition fees for two years)
- Must hold a Master’s degree from a Danish or equivalent foreign university by the application deadline
- Must NOT be enrolled in a PhD program as of 26 November 2025
- Must submit a research proposal showcasing academic–industry collaboration
- The principal supervisor must be a professor or associate professor at a Danish university
- A co-supervisor from the life-science industry is encouraged
- International collaboration
- Interdisciplinary integration
- Cross-sector collaboration
- Patient and/or public involvement (PPI)
- Shortlisted candidates are assessed on the project’s academic merit and collaborative impact.

- DKK 1,100,000 in total funding
- Covers two years of salary and tuition during a three-year PhD
- The remaining one-third of funding is provided by an industry partner

- Prepare a detailed project proposal showing collaboration between a Danish university and a life-science company
- Confirm the eligibility of your Master’s degree and supervisory team
