The Danish Diabetes and Endocrine Academy (DDEA) offers up to three 2/3-financed Industrial PhD Scholarships, each valued at DKK 1,100,000 (~€147,000 / ~$159,000). These scholarships support collaborative research projects in diabetes, metabolism, or endocrinology, linking academic research with life-science industry innovation in Denmark.

Eligibility Criteria for Denmark DDEA PhD Scholarships 2025 (Covering salary and tuition fees for two years)

1. Must hold a Master’s degree from a Danish or equivalent foreign university by the application deadline
2. Must NOT be enrolled in a PhD program as of 26 November 2025
3. Must submit a research proposal showcasing academic–industry collaboration
4. The principal supervisor must be a professor or associate professor at a Danish university
5. A co-supervisor from the life-science industry is encouraged

Selected Process

Applications are reviewed based on how well they address:

1. International collaboration
2. Interdisciplinary integration
3. Cross-sector collaboration
4. Patient and/or public involvement (PPI)
5. Shortlisted candidates are assessed on the project’s academic merit and collaborative impact.
