EIU Alumni Association Scholarships 2025–2026

The EIU Alumni Association is proud to recognize the academic achievements, community service, university involvement and outstanding potential of current and incoming students by awarding a number of scholarships each year to qualified candidates.

Alumni and friends who have contributed to the Annual Giving Program and/or are dues-paying members of the Alumni Association take great pride in knowing a portion of their gift dollars or membership dues is used to recognize and reward outstanding students.

Summary

1. Application Deadline: October 27, 2025 – March 15, 2026 (varies by award)
2. Value: $1,000–$8,500 (varies yearly)
3. Study Level: Undergraduate
4. Sponsor: Eastern Illinois University
5. Eligible Country: United States

Eligibility Criteria for EIU Alumni Association Scholarships 2025–2026

1895 Scholarship:

1. Junior or senior status with at least one semester completed at EIU
2. Minimum GPA of 3.0
3. Active in campus organizations or student government

Livingston C. Lord Scholarship:

1. Junior pursuing teacher certification with 3.6+ GPA
2. At least 30 credit hours at EIU and 24 remaining
3. Faculty nomination or student application

Legacy Scholarship:

1. Child or grandchild of an EIU graduate
2. Incoming freshman with 3.0+ GPA
3. Demonstrated leadership in extracurricular activities

TC High/Eastern State High School Alumni Scholarship:

1. Graduate or relative of Charleston High School or TC/Eastern State High alumnus
2. 4.0 GPA (5.0 scale) or 3.0 (4.0 scale)
3. Three letters of recommendation and community service record
