- GS-5 Pay: Interns holding a bachelor’s degree and currently enrolled in a full-time graduate program.
- GS-4 Pay: All other full-time students, including:
- Dual-enrollment students
- Undergraduate students enrolled in a graduate course.
The FBI seeks applicants from a wide range of academic backgrounds, including, but not limited to, accounting, foreign languages, information technology, criminal justice, journalism, law, and all STEM programs.
Eligibility Criteria for FBI Honors Internship Program 2026 (Paid Internship in USA)
- Be a U.S. citizen.
- Attend a U.S.-accredited college or university full-time as an undergraduate, graduate, or post-doctoral student.
- Not graduating before the program start date, unless continuing education in the semester immediately following.
- Have and maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA or better.

- For the duration of the internship program.
- Pass all FBI employment background investigation requirements and be able to receive a Top Secret Clearance.
