The New Cross Fire Bursaries at Goldsmiths University are aimed at supporting students in memory of the victims of the New Cross Fire. The bursary supports Lewisham residents who otherwise may not be able to attend university.

Eligibility Criteria for Goldsmiths University New Cross Fire Bursaries 2025

You must meet the general eligibility requirements and regulations. You must also:

  1. Have been a resident in the London Borough of Lewisham for three years prior to application
  2. Have a household income of under £35,000 per year (as evidenced by your application to the Student Loans Company)
  3. Be a UK citizen and eligible for Home fees
  4. Be undertaking your first undergraduate degree
  5. Have one of the following categories of ethnicity:
  6. African
  7. Caribbean
  8. Any other Black / African / Caribbean background
  9. Any other Mixed / Multiple ethnic background
  10. Indian
  11. Pakistani
  12. Bangladeshi
  13. Chinese
  14. Any other Asian background
  15. White and Black Caribbean
  16. White and Black African
  17. White and Asian
  18. Gypsy or Irish Traveller
  19. Arab
