Selection process

Applications are assessed by the IAEA MSCFP Technical Selection Committee against MSCFP selection criteria, including the applicant’s entry requirements, educational background, and prior achievements, motivation and impact of the fellowship on the applicant’s career goals and commitment to public service. Consideration is given to geographic location, field of study, and linguistic diversity as well as other factors.

All applicants will be notified of the decision by e-mail.

Obligations

The selected applicants will receive an offer and will be requested to confirm the acceptance of the fellowship within one week. The offer will provide information on the award details, including payment modality and the expected commitment, as well as administrative requirements and arrangements. Additionally, students who received the scholarship award are expected to complete the master’s programme. Failure to graduate from the master’s programme or meet the requirements for the scholarship will result in a termination of the MSCFP award and an obligation for you to repay the tuition fee and living cost support received, upon request from the IAEA.

Benefits of IAEA Marie Sklodowska-Curie Programme 2025/2026

The students are awarded up to €20,000 for tuition costs and up to €20,000 for living costs for the master’s programme. Applicants are obliged to declare if they have additional scholarships and to provide relevant documents, in which case the IAEA's financial support would be reduced accordingly, i.e. only covering tuition costs, not living costs, for the duration of the programme.
