International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) Graduate Internship Program 2025 for Young Nigerians - People & Culture

The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) is seeking a motivated graduate intern with foundational knowledge in systems development, data analysis, and an understanding of programming concepts to support our ongoing efforts.

Duration: 6 to 12 months

Key Responsibilities

1. Assist in the development and documentation of internal systems and tools (e.g., for staff record management, workflows, etc.)
2. Support the configuration and basic administration of low-code/no-code platforms (e.g., Power Automate, Google Workspace tools, or internal platforms)
3. Clean, structure, and analyze HR-related datasets to generate basic reports and insights
4. Assist in maintaining dashboards and automations used by the People & Culture Unit
5. Participate in user testing and feedback sessions to improve internal tools
6. Conduct basic troubleshooting and offer first-level support for internal digital tools
7. Document system processes and create how-to guides for end users
8. Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Eligibility Criteria for International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) Graduate Internship Program 2025 for Young Nigerians - People & Culture

1. Recent graduate in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or related fields
2. Foundational knowledge of programming or scripting (e.g., Python, JavaScript, SQL, or similar)
3. Knowledge of Microsoft packages
4. Familiarity with data tools such as Excel, Google Sheets, or Power BI
5. Understanding of software/system development principles
6. Interest in HR tech, data systems, or process automation is a plus
7. Strong attention to detail, willingness to learn, and ability to follow through on assigned tasks
8. Good communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment
