In continued commitment to recognize outstanding high school students, Lakehead University is pleased to offer up to two Presidential Scholarships annually.

Eligibility Criteria for Lakehead University Presidential Scholarship 2026-27

1. Awarded to up to 2 outstanding Canadian high school students who have demonstrated leadership qualities and have made significant contributions to their high school and community.
2. A minimum 90% average in Grade 12 U or M level courses as of May 2026
3. Must be direct from high school (no previous post secondary studies)
4. Must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident
5. Must plan to attend Lakehead University on a full-time basis in 2026/2027

Selection Process

1. Candidates selected for an interview will be interviewed virtually.
2. The Presidential Scholarship will supersede previous Academic Entrance Scholarship offers.
3. Incomplete applications or applications received after the deadline will not be considered
