Eligibility Criteria for Lancaster University Science and Technology Country Scholarship 2025

This scholarship is available to students planning to study a full-time, taught postgraduate programme (MSc or MA) offered by the Faculty of Science and Technology.

The scholarship is offered for international students who are nationals of, or whose permanent home address is within, one of the following countries:

1. Egypt
2. Ghana
3. Indonesia
4. Malaysia
5. Nigeria
6. Pakistan
7. Taiwan
8. Thailand
9. Vietnam

To be eligible for the scholarship, you must have, or achieve as part of your offer conditions, the equivalent of a 1st or 2:1 degree classification in your undergraduate studies. Our equivalent qualifications below will help you check your eligibility.

Further information

1. This scholarship is only available to students on full-time, postgraduate taught programmes offered at the Lancaster campus within the Faculty of Science and Technology. It is not available to students applying for MSc by Research programmes or online programmes.
2. Applicants must have accepted a conditional or unconditional offer from Lancaster University for October 2025 entry.
3. As the number of scholarships is limited, you must accept your offer by the deadline stated by the admissions team.
4. Applicants in receipt of external funding will only be eligible for this scholarship where the external funding covers less than 50% of the tuition fee.
5. Applicants applying from articulation partners and Pre-Master's programmes offered by Lancaster University are not eligible for this scholarship.
6. Awardees must be classed as 'overseas' or ‘international' fee-paying students for tuition fee purposes for the duration of their studies. If you are awarded the scholarship and are subsequently reassessed as a ‘home’ fee-payer, you will no longer be eligible for the scholarship.
