The LSE Undergraduate Support Scheme provides funding for Overseas fee status students who do not have the necessary funds to meet all their costs of study.

Please note that the LSE receives far more applications for financial assistance than it can support, so unfortunately, not all applications to the Undergraduate Support Scheme will be successful.

To be eligible for consideration for this award, you must meet the following criteria:??

Overseas student with an offer on any programme.

Benefits of LSE Undergraduate Support Scheme 2025

The value of this scholarship is:

Award amounts vary depending on individual circumstances but are usually between £15,000 and £25,000 per year.
Any award made will be renewed for each year of your programme, subject to satisfactory academic progress.

How to Apply

Once you have an offer of admission (conditional or unconditional) to attend LSE, you should submit by email to financial-support@lse.ac.uk the following:

One academic reference - this can be sent by you together with your scholarship application, or it can be sent to us separately by your referee to financial-support@lse.ac.uk
Supporting documents - this will vary depending on the information you have provided; further guidance can be found in the scholarship application form
Applicants who follow the process above will be considered against the eligibility requirements for all scholarships
