MROO Student Scholarships 2025

The MROO Scholarship Program is open to students who are relatives of an MROO member. The Member can be a parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle, great aunt, or great uncle, including step-relatives.

MROO's annual Scholarship Program awards a number of $3,000 scholarships to students at Canadian universities, community colleges or similar post-secondary institutions entering the second year of study of their first degree with a full course load (full-time student).

Scholarship candidates are graded on key factors such as their demonstrated experience in leadership positions, evidence of their volunteer work in their community, their ability to explain their vision of their future after their post-secondary studies, and how their studies will prepare them to lead and assist others in the future.

Eligibility Criteria for MROO Student Scholarships 2025

Your submission must include the following five items:

  1. Your completed online application form.
  2. Proof of successful completion of a full course load in the first year. You must submit only an official transcript. No other document will be accepted.
  3. Proof of acceptance into the second year (typically a letter from the Registrar or proof of payment of fees for the second year).
  4. A one-to-two-page resume outlining the following: employment, volunteer roles, and leadership positions.
  5. An essay outlining your vision of your future leadership roles and service to others, and how your post-secondary studies will assist you in realizing your goals. Recommended length is 200 to 300 words.
