This bursary opportunity will provide direct support to students with financial need who are the first in their families to attend University.

Eligibility Criteria for Ontario First Generation Bursary at Kings University 2025

The student's parents did not attend any post-secondary studies whatsoever
Must be considered an Ontario resident
Must be enrolled full-time in the current academic year
Must be returning to full-time study in the next academic year
Must have a financial need that exceeds the value of the bursary ($2,500.00).
Number and value of bursaries are TBD based on funding and number of applicants.
The applicant must be a Canadian citizen, a Permanent Resident, or a Protected Person under subsection 95(2) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (Canada)
The applicant must be an Ontario Resident, as specified by the Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP).
