Eligibility Criteria for President’s Welcome Award for International Students 2026

1. Students submitting an application must have an admissions average of 90% or better plus have demonstrated leadership roles in their extra- curricular activities throughout school.
2. Only candidates with no previous attendance at a post-secondary educational institution (college or university excluding CEGEP) will be considered. Student must be pursuing post-secondary studies for the first time.

1. Ten Chancellor’s Scholarships – $32,000 total ($8,000 per year for four years), renewable, awarded to students with a 90% admission average and strong extracurricular involvement.
2. Seven Richard Lewar Entrance Scholarships – $21,500 total ($6,500 in first year and $5,000 in each of the following three years), renewable, for students with a 90% average and extracurricular engagement.
3. Three Carleton University Scholarships of Excellence – $20,000 total ($5,000 per year for four years), renewable, for students with a 90% average plus extracurricular activities.
4. Two Carleton University SHAD Scholarships – $20,000 total ($5,000 annually for four years), renewable, for students with a 90% average and extracurricular involvement.
5. Jay Woo and CAA Scholarship – $20,000 total ($5,000 per year for four years), renewable, requiring a 90% average and extracurricular participation.
