Since 1960, the Saint Andrew's Society of the State of New York has offered two graduate scholarships yearly to promote cultural interchange and goodwill between Scotland and the United States. Saint Andrew's Scholarships fund one year of study at any of the universities in Scotland.

Eligibility Criteria for Saint Andrew's Society Graduate Scholarship 2026
Graduating seniors at Yale who are US citizens and who can describe their Scottish lineage. Preference will be given to students who have not previously studied in the United Kingdom.
Selection for an award is based on the applicant's record of academic achievement, participation in extracurricular activities, financial need, clarity of career purpose in pursuing graduate studies, strong reasons for wishing to continue with education--with particular clarity around the graduate study objective(s) to be achieved and why study in Scotland, some Scottish descent, and proof of US citizenship.

- A Saint Andrew's Scholarship provides up to $35,000 to cover tuition and related academic expenses and help defray transportation and living expenses.
