Through our Merck Foundation Online Scholarship program, we are striving to improve access to better healthcare in underserved communities. By educating and training the medical graduates, we want to basically strengthen the local capacities and enhance the clinical management processes. The goal is to raise awareness for these health conditions as well as to support healthcare systems with the measures to prevent, diagnose and manage them effectively.

Eligibility Criteria for Call for Application: Online Scholarship in Critically Under-served specialities for Medical Students

Eligibility Criteria

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery (Primary Medical Qualification) (: MBBS or MBChB)
  2. Candidates working within a public sector clinical setting
  3. Recommendation from the Ministry of Health or Office of the First Lady (For Asian countries—Recommendation letter from the Ministry of Health or Vice Chancellor/dean/Rector of the Medical University or President of the respective Society or Medical Association)
  4. Proof of English language proficiency. Proficiency in the English language is essential to completing courses. If English is NOT your first language, proof of competency during the application process is to be submitted. o An IELTS overall score of 6.0 (with a minimum of 5.5 for each band) or an equivalent qualification is required as proof of English Language Proficiency.
  5. Accessibility to stable Internet connection
