About The Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD)
The Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) is a regional organization in Eastern Africa, committed to promoting regional cooperation, peace, security, and sustainable development. IGAD works with member states to address challenges including climate change, food security, conflict resolution, and economic integration. With a strong focus on collaboration, IGAD supports policies and programs that enhance the livelihoods of communities and drive socio-economic transformation across the region.

Applications are open for the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) Internship 2025. Through a conducive training and career development environment, IGAD is seeking to place 14 young professionals, (2) per country who are interested in advancing gender equality in different fields of their careers. The Internship Programme is a learning opportunity aimed at attracting talented young women and men who are strongly motivated to share their new perspectives and innovative ideas in IGAD.
