The UK Announces Medical Scholarships at the University of Edinburgh for International Students from Low- and Middle-income Countries

The University of Edinburgh is offering five scholarships to students of the MSc Internal Medicine (Online Learning) programme. The scholarship covers 66% of the tuition fees (worth £4,204) and is tenable for one academic year only. The scholarship is open to both new and continuing students of the MSc, PgDip, and PgCert in Internal Medicine. It aims to support professionals in healthcare from select low- and middle-income countries and foster global collaboration in internal medicine.

- PgDip in Internal Medicine (Part-time)
- PgCert in Internal Medicine (Part-time)
Eligibility Criteria for The UK Announces Medical Scholarships at the University of Edinburgh for International Students from Low- and Middle-income Countries
Applicants must:
- Be currently enrolled or newly admitted to one of the eligible Internal Medicine online programmes
- Have accepted or plan to accept their offer
- Be domiciled and working in an eligible low- or middle-income country
- Submit a strong personal statement showing academic merit and healthcare impact
- Students on multi-year programmes may apply but should budget accordingly, as funding is for one year only

- Their role in their country’s healthcare system
- How the scholarship and programme will enhance their contribution
- Commitment to post-graduation healthcare development in their home country
Applicants must be domiciled and working in eligible low- and middle-income countries.
Exceptions are made for those displaced by war or political unrest.

Note: Only covers tuition for one year even if the programme runs longer.

How to Apply
In order to gain access to the scholarship application system, applicants must have applied for admission to the University of Edinburgh. Please note that, following the submission of an application for admission, it can take up to five working days for all system checks to be completed and for access to be granted.
