Trinity College Dublin offers a number of USA Undergraduate Scholarships valued at €5,000 each, applied as a tuition fee reduction for the first year of a full-time undergraduate program. These scholarships are available for all undergraduate programs except Medicine, Dentistry, and Acting.

Applicants must be normally resident in the USA, have completed high school in the USA, and possess non-EU fee status. A minimum GPA of 3.3 is required.

Selection is based on academic excellence, leadership potential, and contribution to the Trinity community, with attention given to regional and program diversity.

How to Apply

Please submit your scholarship application process as follows:

  1. Email your application to the North American Regional Officer. (damien.ofarrell@tcd.ie)
  2. Subject line: your name + Trinity application ID + USA Undergraduate Scholarship
  3. Scholarship Application Documents: (please ensure all documents include your name and Trinity Application ID):
  4. Copy of Trinity Offer Letter (Applicants must have received a conditional or firm offer of a place in a Trinity undergraduate course).
  5. 200-word statement on "How will I contribute to our Trinity College Dublin community?" – submit in Microsoft Word document or PDF format.
  6. CV/Resume
  7. Submit scholarship request no later than April 1st.
  8. No further communication until scholarship awards are made.
  9. Decision to accept scholarship is required by the deadline given in the award offer, along with acceptance of your offer to attend TCD and payment of your deposit.
  10. You will be responsible for formally accepting the scholarship offer by email reply to the North American Regional Officer.
