The Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT) Fellowship 2025 is a prestigious, part-time, 12-month secondment for 25 leading technologists and scientists to work within UK government departments. Fellows will co-create policy, shape national tech strategies, and apply their expertise to help modernize public services, especially through the responsible adoption of AI and emerging technologies.

Professionals who
- Are currently employed in industry or academia
- Can undertake a part-time secondment
- Are you you affiliated with any of the following organizations?
- Royal Society
- Royal Academy of Engineering
- Academy of Medical Sciences
- techUK
- IET (Institution of Engineering and Technology)
- British Standards Institute (BSI)
Selection Process
Candidates are chosen based on
- Technical expertise in relevant fields
- Affiliation with a partner organisation
- Capacity to contribute to public sector innovation and policymaking
- Willingness to bring insights back to their home institutions or companies
