The awards recognise and reward high academic achievement for students applying to study a full-time taught course in September 2026.

We also offer our Leeds Masters Scholarship to support students from underrepresented groups.

Eligibility Criteria for University of Leeds UK Excellence Masters Scholarship 2026

To apply for a UK Excellence Masters Scholarship you must:

1. Be classified as a UK student for tuition fee purposes.
2. Demonstrate an excellent academic track record and are expected to attain a Bachelor degree with at least a 2:1 (Hons) or equivalent.
3. Not already be enrolled on a postgraduate course.
4. Have applied for 2026/2027 entry for a full-time campus-based Masters degree.
5. Be self-funding for at least part of the cost of your tuition fees. This includes financial support from a friend or relative, or a postgraduate loan from the UK government.

How to Apply

You will only be able to apply for this scholarship once you have a conditional or unconditional offer for a Masters course.

If you have an offer for multiple courses at the University of Leeds you will need to submit a separate scholarship application for each course.

All offer holders will be notified via email when applications for the UK Excellence Masters Scholarship 2026 are open.
