UWinnipeg International Special Entrance Scholarship 2026

We automatically offer International Special Entrance Scholarships to new international students entering Undergraduate studies at UWinnipeg following graduation from a high school outside of Canada. We will offer entrance scholarships during the regular admissions application process. All international students must meet the conditions below to qualify.

Eligibility Criteria for UWinnipeg International Special Entrance Scholarship 2026

Entering International students must:

1. have the equivalent of a Canadian 85% grade average, based on Grade 12 academic courses used for admission. UWinnipeg International Credential Evaluators will complete grade conversions.
2. not have previously attended another post-secondary institution other than for dual credit high school/post-secondary courses.
3. Complete the admission application to UWinnipeg no more than 6 months following high school graduation.
4. Must register and maintain a full-time registration during the academic year.
5. Fall term start: minimum registration of 9 credit hours in both fall and winter terms
6. Winter term start: minimum registration of 9 credit hours in the winter term
7. Spring term start: minimum registration of 6 credit hours of 6-8 weeks duration in the spring term
8. May only receive one UWinnipeg entrance award.
9. The International Special Entrance Scholarship cannot be held in conjunction with the President's Scholarship for World Leaders.
10. New international students with multiple UW award offers will receive one entrance award, whichever has the greatest value.
