GREAT Scholarships 2026 – Mexico & Vietnam

In partnership with the British Council and the GREAT Britain Campaign, University of Aberdeen is offering two scholarships to students in Mexico and Vietnam applying for one-year postgraduate courses in:

  1. The School of Biological Sciences
  2. The School of Geosciences
  3. The School of Law
  4. The School of Natural and Computing Sciences
  5. The School of Psychology

The GREAT Scholarships 2026 programme, launched by the British Council together with over 60 UK universities, supports postgraduate students from Bangladesh, China, Egypt, Ghana, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Malaysia, Mexico, Nigeria, Pakistan, Thailand, Turkey, and Vietnam in accessing world-class UK higher education opportunities.

  2. Value: Minimum £10,000 (can combine with Aberdeen Global Scholarship up to £18,000 fee waiver)

Eligibility Criteria for GREAT Scholarships 2026 – Mexico & Vietnam

  1. Please note that applicants should be residents and citizens of Mexico or Vietnam.

Benefits of GREAT Scholarships 2026 – Mexico & Vietnam

  1. The scholarship programme offers financial support of a minimum of £10,000 to students pursuing one-year postgraduate study in the UK. Students can apply for courses in a range of subjects, at over 60 institutions across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
  2. The University of Aberdeen - GREAT Scholarships 2026 - Mexico and Vietnam can be combined with the Aberdeen Global Scholarship, which will provide up to £18,000 fee waiver.

How to Apply

  1. You must have an unconditional offer for a Postgraduate Taught degree in the above schools.
  2. Complete this online application explaining (in 250 words) your suitability for this scholarship and motivation to study at the University of Aberdeen. The GREAT Scholarships webpage provides helpful information on the opportunity.
  3. Selection will be based on your 250-word statement and academic merit.
