The Hillary Rodham Clinton Award for Peace and Reconciliation offers a full tuition-fee waiver to an exceptional female student from the United States pursuing a Postgraduate Taught Master's degree in fields related to politics, human rights, or conflict transformation.

Established in honour of Hillary Rodham Clinton’s role in advancing peace and reconciliation during the Northern Ireland peace process, the award continues her legacy of elevating women’s voices in diplomacy and justice.

The scholarship applies to the following eligible MA programmes: LLM Human Rights Law, MA Conflict Transformation and Social Justice, MA Global Security and Borders, MA Politics, MA Violence, Terrorism and Security

Eligibility Criteria for Hillary Rodham Clinton Peace & Reconciliation Award 2026

  1. You must have applied to the University for study in one of the outlined programmes by 23 January 2026;
  2. must be issued with an offer for your chosen programme by 16 February 2026;
  3. must hold a 3.7 CGPA or above (or equivalent);
  4. must be a US citizen
  5. must identify as female.

How to Apply

To be considered for this award, please submit an application for your chosen programme through the Queen's Portal.

On the Queen's Portal, please tick ‘I hope to or have already obtained funding for my studies’ and then enter HillaryClinton26 in the free text box ‘Please state the source of funding’.

You must also upload a CV of no more than 2 pages which outlines your commitment to civic leadership and peacebuilding. This should be uploaded in a PDF merged with academic transcripts.
