

The Robotics Artificial Intelligence Nigeria Scholarship offers a free tuition opportunity for young Nigerians to learn robotics design, drone technology, IoT, and embedded systems.
In this article, we will discuss more about the RAIN Scholarship, its eligibility criteria, benefits, and step-by-step procedure for a successful application.
Students receive their IMES when they enter their first year at UBC, and the scholarships are renewable for up to three additional years of study.
The number and level of these scholarships awarded each year vary, depending on available funding.
Eligibility Criteria for Robotics Artificial Intelligence Nigeria RAIN Scholarship 2025
To be considered for the Robotics Artificial Intelligence Nigeria Scholarship, you must fulfil the following criteria;
Academic Qualifications
- Recent graduates
- Preferably but not limited to First-class degree holders with excellent references from university lecturers
- Backgrounds in Engineering, Computer Science, Computing, Mathematics, or Physical Sciences
Technical Requirements
- Demonstrable knowledge of coding (especially Python, C++, or C)
- Passion for robotics, automation, and/or artificial intelligence
- Must provide own laptop (16GB RAM, Core i7 recommended) and arrange accommodation in Ibadan
Citizenship & Residency
- Open to any individual legally permitted to study in Nigeria
- Not limited to Nigerian citizens, welcome to qualified candidates from across West Africa

- Comprehensive resume/CV
- Two Letters of recommendation addressed to the Director, RAIN
- Academic transcripts
- Proof of coding knowledge/projects
- Other supporting documents as requested
