Teaching Abroad in Europe (Erasmus+ STA) 2025 at TU Berlin

The Erasmus+ program "Staff Mobility for Teaching (KA131) STA" is aimed at all TU Berlin employees planning a visiting lectureship at one of TU Berlin's European partner universities. Through their stay, visiting lecturers should strengthen the European dimension of the host university, complement its teaching offerings, and impart their expertise to students who are unable or unwilling to study abroad.
Eligibility Criteria for Teaching Abroad in Europe (Erasmus+ STA) 2025 at TU Berlin
The funding line is available to the following groups of people:
- Professors and lecturers with a contractual relationship with TU Berlin
- scientific staff
- Doctoral students who are involved in teaching
Selection Process
- The teaching stay must take place at an Erasmus+ partner university of TU Berlin. You can find all Erasmus+ partner universities here . Unfortunately, the Erasmus+ program does not fund stays in Switzerland.
- Teaching stays last between a minimum of 2 days for program countries or 5 days for partner countries (TU Berlin supports stays at partner universities in Great Britain) and a maximum of 5 days (excluding travel time). If necessary (depending on the budget), a longer stay (max. 10 days plus travel days, if applicable) can be funded.
- The required teaching load per stay is 8 hours per week . For each additional day of stay beyond one week (7 days), the minimum number of hours will be charged pro rata.
Benefits of Teaching Abroad in Europe (Erasmus+ STA) 2025 at TU Berlin
The recipients receive:
- Destination-dependent, financial subsidies (travel and accommodation allowances) for their stay abroad,
- if applicable, subsidy for the use of sustainable means of transport ("green travel") ,
- if necessary, special funding for participants with disabilities or chronic illnesses and additional costs abroad,
- If necessary, special funding for participants who go abroad with child(ren) .
- Please note that additional billing of staff mobility via the travel expenses office is NOT possible, as you will receive the Erasmus+ flat rate for your trip.
