Apply by November 30, 2025, to take part in the second edition of WIPO’s intellectual property moot court competition.

The competition is open to law students under the age of 35 who are enrolled at universities in WIPO Member States. Participating teams will be selected based on video applications submitted by the application deadline.

Eligibility Criteria for WIPO IP Moot Court Competition 2025

  1. The competition is open to law students under the age of 35 who are enrolled at universities in WIPO Member States. Participating teams will be selected based on video applications submitted by the application deadline.
  2. This year’s moot problem deals with industrial property law and will address areas such as patents, trademarks, industrial designs and trade secrets.
  3. Topics may cover jurisdictional questions, scope of protection by IP rights, remedies available to the parties, and cross-border enforcement.
  4. Participants will test their advocacy skills by submitting written arguments and presenting both sides of a case before a panel of judges.

How to Apply

  1. Prepare and submit your video application by November 30, 2025.
  2. Selected teams will be announced on December 5, 2025.
  3. Submit written arguments by January 10, 2026.
  4. Participate in online rounds (February 2026).
  5. Qualified teams will attend finals in Geneva, June 24–26, 2026.
